Last Friday was one of those Friday nights were everything just fell into place and good times were had all night long. It blows my mind how often this occurs in DC. I lucked out on meeting everyone that I’ve met and I’m so grateful to be able to have my younger brother here.

The night started out at Dakota’s with a 50-pack of hot wings and a couple beers to wash it down. After some crucial pre-gaming we split up into Bike Gang and Cab Gang to meet up at Goldleaf where Exactly laid down the jam. Check out the article here (NSFW)

After the kegs dried up everyone headed to the first street party house. It was kind of impressive how the entire party just instantly teleported 15 blocks. There was an immediate shortage of cups and people started lining up at the keg with bowls in hand. It had a kind of trashy yet classy goblet-esque feel to it. At that point I was over drinking for the night and just watched in amusement.

One of the most satisfying parts of the night is when Ryan and I decided to jet. We literally rode around the corner and saw my place. Living downtown is a decision I’m constantly being rewarded for.

The Independence Day celebration at Fight Club was complete mayhem.

Nouveau Riche hosted Blisspop at MCCXXIII featuring Australia’s Miami Horror and Gameboy/Gamegirl. The DJs were great, but the atmostphere resembled the more traditional DC club scene, which to me is a bad thing. I’m all for meeting new poeple, but I just couldn’t seem to get over the elevated levels of douche-baggery going on in there. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t just me. Was it?

Peoples finally figured out that there’s another bar downstairs, the opposite of Asylum’s usual affliction. But all the extra elbow room meant there were less booty shake inclined babies gettin’ compulsive wit it on the bartops. Otherwise, the edition with the learning-disabled roman numericizing was as overpopulated, beersoaked and naughty as ever.

It was fun as hell and I’m already on my quest to snag a bitchin’ pair of shorts for the next round. The funny thing is all the insanity went down on a Thursday night! As soon as DFine’s photos are up I’ll link ‘em. Stay tuned!

Update: DFine comes through yet again with his set (NSFW)! There’s only one pic in the set that could be considered NSFW ’cause of a slip of the ol’ areola. So I’m gonna play it safe and recommend you don’t check it at work :) .

A very interesting looking show is going down tonight at Black Cat. $12 says it’ll be good.
