The deadly trio drove up to Baltimore last Friday to check out Taxlo at Sonar. We missed Ladytron, but were able to catch the insanity and glow sticks that continued into the early morning. My buddy Shawn met us up there and I wish I could have warned him but I had no idea myself that it was going to be so rave-ey. During one of many numerous breaks outside I was able to catch Helen, of Ladytron, chillin’ outside the tour bus. Trying to internalize the extreme giddiness, I explained to her how much they rocked. She cracked a nervous smile and was enough to make my night.

After we danced all there was to dance, we sat outside contemplating what was next. During this important process a street brawl broke out between two girls. And by broke out I mean instigated by Dakota. The funny part was that the aggressive girl got her ass beat by the one trying to avoid it. It was like a twisted short remake of Karate Kid in a way. Lacey and I ended up just cruisin’ back to DC while Dakota continued the adventure with some fellow DC peeps.

Kevin Rose leaked the Spore Creature Creator a couple hours early before the official release today. It’s pretty addicting and easy to use. As I create more creatures I’ll update this post with ‘em. If you’d like to check it out for yourself you can download it here.

Peoples finally figured out that there’s another bar downstairs, the opposite of Asylum’s usual affliction. But all the extra elbow room meant there were less booty shake inclined babies gettin’ compulsive wit it on the bartops. Otherwise, the edition with the learning-disabled roman numericizing was as overpopulated, beersoaked and naughty as ever.

It was fun as hell and I’m already on my quest to snag a bitchin’ pair of shorts for the next round. The funny thing is all the insanity went down on a Thursday night! As soon as DFine’s photos are up I’ll link ‘em. Stay tuned!

Update: DFine comes through yet again with his set (NSFW)! There’s only one pic in the set that could be considered NSFW ’cause of a slip of the ol’ areola. So I’m gonna play it safe and recommend you don’t check it at work :) .

Chuck Palahniuk’s book, Choke, is being made into a movie.

…a wickedly colorful dark comedy about mothers and sons, sexual compulsion, and the sordid underbelly of Colonial theme parks.

The trailer is up and I definitely hear some Clap Your Hands Say Yeah and possibly some Ben Kweller. The production is nowhere near Fight Club, but it still looks to be a mildly amusing movie. I should probably get a copy and read it before it comes out, but lets be honest… ;) I have, however read Survivor. I think a film adaptation of that would be pretty interesting.
