Digital Crush
The only word that describes last night’s show is fuckingamazing.
Epic Show:
When I found out about Digitalism coming to DC I almost shit my pants on the spot (if it weren’t for my commercial grade o-ring then I would have definitely been covered in my own waste pudding). Needless to say, I got my ticket and tried so hard to forget about it in hopes the time would pass. I never did forget about it, and the time did not pass like I had hoped it would, but it finally happened last night.
I got off the metro about 15 minutes later than I had planned, when I realized I had forgotten where to even go. I walked around aimlessly for about an additional 15 minutes until I finally ran into some random guy to ask for directions. Turns out this random guy is actually Dakota, a photographer for Brightest Young Things. He just so happened to be headed to the same show to take some photos. You know, ’cause thats what photographers do. When we got there he introduced me to a couple of his friends, which was cool since I can count the people I’ve met in DC on one hand.
When Digitalism finally took the stage I started flipping out. I felt like an 11 year old girl at a Hannah Montana concert (replace ‘an 11 year old girl’ with ‘me’ and its essentially the same sentence). I was able to sneak right up next to the stage and was situated right in front of Isi (the guy on the left in the photos). I was screaming the lyrics for every song they played and a few times, Isi would smile and point at me, clearly impressed with this brown-skinned fan they apparently had. During a quiet part of the show I yelled, “FUCK ANALOG,” and I actually got a laugh out of him. It was neat to think that maybe I entertained him for even a split second, which pales in comparison to the epic show they put on for everyone there. If all of that wasn’t enough, when the show finally came to an end they came of stage and Isi grabbed me and gave me a hug of approval. I GOT A FUCKING HUG FROM DIGITALISM! Did the douch-fag bumping into me on my left get a hug? NOPE! What about the bony white chick to my right? NOPE! Who got a hug, again? ME MOTHERFUCKER, ME!
My love for Digitalism increased 69%, last night. Thanks again to Dakota, for helping a lost child (me) find his way to the show. See you all around.
cant wait to join you at all the shows nig.
